In the Garden

I wrote this for a story I was writing, and thought I'd post it here. It's meant to be a nursery rhyme. In the garden, by the stream, My baby lay upon the bough, In the light of Summer's dream, He sang unto the earth a vow, "My heart," Quoth Child, "Is stronger still, Than all the rocks, and trees, and land, And though I doubt of your good will, Alone against you I will stand." And to those words the earth did part, Another land there lay below Young Child had not but will of heart Directing him to downwards go. Child once more was never seen As many seasons come to fare And claims say he was lost between The court of Earth and court of Air.
