In the Darkness
She stands
OUTSIDE...
In the Blackness
of the SHADOWS...
She is
TALL,
SKINNY,
like a SKELETON...
in HIP
CLOTHES...
Her hair
LONG...
SILKY/BLOND
blows
with the rhythm
of the WIND...
Her name
SILVIA....
Prostitute-
Herion shooting
CRACK ADDICT...
She needs
A FIX-
A SMACK-
A TOKE...
A RIDE
ON THE DEVILS TONGUE...
Streets
EMPTY...
Seems like she
STEPPED into,
Another WORLD-
Another DIMENSION...
She cries out
"WHERE IS-
MY LIFE,
What has become
of that SWEET
INNOCENT CHILD?"
That used to play
with sweet girls
and Barbie dolls!!!
"Why am I-
here???
Why has GOD-
FORSAKEN ME?"""
Her Dad,
PREACHER-
Molested her-
age Six...
Momma,
ALCOHOLIC-
Beat her,
Called her
"TRASH..."
She sits,
DOWN-
in an ALLEY...
KNEES-
Pulled up
to her chest...
Rocking
BACK and FORTH-
Trying to Fight,
IMAGES she POSSESS...
So Beautiful,
so Talented-
But LOST...
LOST-
In a world...
Where she is the VICTIM-
of PAIN...
HEART BROKEN-
first LOVE to
SUICIDE...
Found DEAD-
HOTEL ROOM,
wrist slashed...
Blood GRAFFITTI-
on MIRROR....
I LOVE YOU SILVIA,
ETERNITY YOURS-
NICK...
She WEEPS,
Pulls Back-
her SILK MANE-
into a PONY TAIL...
She's NICKING-
BAD....
Needs
CIGARETTE-
something to kill,
the PAIN-
INSIDE...
Empty bottle-
BOOZE...
Mad Dog 20/20,
Cigarette butts-
ON GROUND,
beside-
GARBAGE CAN...
She Scoops up-
BUTTS...
Finds-
NEWSPAPER...
HEADING-
"BRUTALLY MURDERED
3 PROSTITUTES-
LAKEVIEW ROAD..."
Which is,
three blocks away...
She shakes-
TREMBLING,
A cat-
from no-where-
STARTLES HER...
Her HEART BEAT-
RACING-
FAST...
Cat hissed-
hair fluffed out-
Runs out of
Alley....
Hand BLEEDING-
CUT on-
BROKEN GLASS...
FOOTSTEPS, distant-
Yet ClOSER,
CLOSER,
they seem...
Each step-
NEARING-
her spot...
Her HEART
BEATING-
FASTER,
FASTER....
Steps-
CLOSER,
CLOSER...
Her SCREAM-
NEVER HEARD...
Body Found...
HEADING-
BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY
FOUND DEAD IN ALLEY
"PROSTITUTE..."
