In the Cool Evening Breeze
In the cool evening breeze
when the light ripples precariously,
as a last glimmer from the solar trinket gracefully departs,
a gentle gust blows a delicate tingle like a sneeze;
like a butterfly tickling the air as it beats its wings.
It ascends with a slender shiver in the wind,
with a quiver of kisses and bubbles,
trembling with a ferocious whisper
and rippling away like the wispy tingle
on your lips from a fizzy drink.
And then a scent of dampness engulfs the air,
as fresh and fragile as morning dew,
and a sacrament reflected in the drops
induces a memory from laden ferns.
And ever so slowly,
as much a gaze would not notice,
the monsoons tenderly gather in
to mourn the setting of the sun
and to embrace its life and all its purity.
