In the Chilly Morn

there is a chirping in the leafless frozen woods, I hold out my hand and cold icy feathers land- there is both a fear and awe. ____________________ March 18, 2015 Poetry/Tanka/in the chilly morn Copyright Protected, ID 03-655-072-18 All Rights Reserved, 2015, Constance La France Submitted to the Standard Contest 261, sponsor, Poet Destroyer, Judged 2015 Eighth Place __________________________ Submitted to the Standard contest, Tanka #2, sponsor, Andrea Dietrich, Judged 2015 Sixth Place

Constance, this was a cool little story you told. Where the cold icy feathers land in your hand! If you would have given me something like an action in that last line, and not just said you had fear and awe, I think I would have put this in top three!! Hope that makes sense to you. Congrats for your win.
