In the Absence of Moonlight

The night the moon stopped shining. Your hair still lit up the night sky. Your eyes held me with radiant light. I was held captive in your gravity. Your hair still lit up the night sky. All I could do was let out a gasp. I was held captive in your gravity. The stars gathered in your hand. All I could do was let out a gasp. Sun beams bent around the earth. The stars gathered in your hand. In that moment you looked at me. Sunbeams bent around the earth. Your eyes held me with radiant light. In that moment you looked at me. The night the moon stopped shining. For Andrea's contest Written July 28, 2013

this is a gorgeous pantoum, Richard. So romantic!! I have to tell you, I was thinking this one was done by Kashinath, whom i had dubbed the king of pantoum poetry, and I was surprised to see kash won with an entirely different form!! Congrats to you in my contest.

How do you get any work done with these distractions of the mind? Inquiring minds want to know. Love and hugs.

This is a fabulous and most special write my friend! I really enjoyed reading this delightful poem this evening! Just a fyi, in the last stanza, second line, it should read, "Your eyes held me with radiant light" you are missing the "s" in "eyes"! Just thought you should know! What a brilliant piece this one truly is! Great Work!!

Seems like you didn't need the moonlight for the radiance to continue shining...this was very, very beautiful.
