In My Fathers Chair
I close my eyes
And I'm pulled into a
familiar dream.
My father sits
confused; unknowing
his mind ravaged.
As I watch, I see my brother
moving toward him.
Suddenly
my eyes burst open
shattering the dreamlike
images.
And the reality
breaks me.
For there
in my fathers chair
confused, unknowing
ravaged
sits my brother.
