In My Dreams
In My Dreams
You visit me in my dreams
and I cling to you.
So vividly real it seems;
together, we two.
You walk in my dreams with me
and I beg you, 'Stay!'
But you say you can't and leave
as I face the day.
Wishing to stay in my dreams
I return to sleep,
finding you again, in streams
where time and love meet.
In my dreams I have you, still
pleading, 'Please ... don't go!'
Your touch, your smell--seems
so real.
O' that it were so!
