In Loving Memory

because God's love thrives we are blessed with special people who greatly enhance our lives making life more wonderful for me, it was a sweet German lady my great-grandma, Hilda she was made of a special beauty and had the most vibrant aura she was strong and independent so funny and so feisty loving and compassionate the kind of woman I want to be the perfect role model for every young woman she was genuinely beautiful, sweet, intelligent and fun I can still remember when I was just a little girl in the ice cream parlor before adolescence's crazy twirl she asked if I wanted a banana split I looked at her and said, "No, Grandma Hilda, we can't afford it!" I'd heard way too many money fights between Mom and Dad Grandma Hilda loved that story and it was the best banana split I ever had I was only four years old and now I'm thirty-four every time that story she told the laughter would just roar I'm so thankful she was there on my lovely wedding day with wisdom of love to share those memories will never fade away so very much I love her and I know that she loved me I will cherish her forever that dear sweet lady from Germany
