In Hard Times
There comes a time you begin to doubt God
Though your soul proves your thoughts wrong
Ur mind and flesh conspires against your heart
It's a fight, more brutal than u think
Yet the bruces can't be seen physically
Hidden to the human eye, though the pain can be felt
Temptations grow with your faith, it ain't a sweet bed
U get down on your knees asking God why those things happen to you
We never understand Gods' mind, yet He tolerates our stupidity
All hope seems lost
Got no where to shed my tears
Can't trust the world, it has done more harm than good
They told me to hold on, leaving me to the beast
To all of the best I dreamt seems a fantasy
What can a man do when his stumbled on?
The world come crushing, only for me to sit and wait
In those times I closed my eyes and called on Him
His promises filled my mind, assurance covered me
For I know He keeps His promises to all equally
If I am a sinner or saint, God only knows my deeds
In this times, I only need His love and protection.
