In For Life

The clock is ticking...time to go back to this place, tick ...tock ...tick...tock, the door is close ...back to my cell. The bars are dark and the floor is cold I am sentence for life. I don't want to do time… tick ...tock ...tick ...tock ...is dinner ready yet dear? he's here my warden ...with a ring on my finger I am sentence for life… Dear lord I got to do the time. Mom ...mom my cell mate calls out...tick...tock ...tick... tock this cell wall cries out every day freedom…freedom but with this ring on my finger I am sentence for life …girl you're in for life…stop the crying and do the time. Sweating over the stove ...washing his dirty clothes, I am a praying for freedom but what’s the point I am in for life ...tears mix with sweat ...time moves on slowly...tick… tock ...tick tock… there’s no justice here…no need to watch the time… I am in for life.
