In Between
With newness of spirit have I returned
To a point enshrouded in shadowy uncertainty
A cross line within the seemingly good and bad
Everything inconclusive disappears from sight
I know that you are there
In between. . .
Unseen within this deplorable life of mine
Within boundaries am I disclosed from your sight
In some ways this is better in my eyes
It seems I have come to realize
That I cannot go in between
I either take the distance or not
Either way, I will not find you
In time to say I love you
I wish I could merely make you out
I wish for only a moment to glimpse
In between
—just to know you are there
