In Between
Like the sky that has finished tucking in the sun,
you're tired now.
Bring on the moon,
where are the stars?
Have they no care for how long you've waited?
Like the summer pavement you're burnt,
ain't nothing but melted popsicles and trash left behind.
Underneath is your cool,pure earth.
Even give rise to tiny flowers,
concrete can't hide your beauty.
So in between the cracks there springs new life.
You are more than able,
more than strong,
just so tired,
heart so heavy.
Where did you hide your smile?
In between the hurt and the despair?
did you give it all away again?
Ah, even with nothing you still have so much.
I hope you will sing,
I know you will dance.
Let your life bring you sweetness,
let your spirit rise again.
