In All Matters
in all matters,
we all must stare into the mirror eventually
but we doth not stare in vain
for the glass is shattered and cracked
we just stare at the martyred pieces
our reflections are broken
just as our selves have been broken
by what we are perceived to be
by everything that is not our own mind
everything we see in a day;
in the media, t.v., and magazines,
we see images of false beauty,
like looking into a mirror that shows
what we want and desire
but our desire will ne'er happen
it's fantasy and a falsetto.
In all matters,
it's better to do something for yourself
and have no public
than to do something for the public
and have no self.
