In a Time Ago
Walking past the place that once housed
your life force, I feel the tingling feelings
that my essence simmered in, in a time ago.
I can still hear the joyful sounds that
resided in the place that once housed your life
force, but now no sound takes residence, not like
in a time ago.
Once the light radiated from each window,
that once housed your life force, and silhouettes
of happy occasions danced across shades, but
there is darkness, not like in a time ago.
I remember holding your hand on the porch
of that place that once housed your life force,
and tasted kisses, but these are just memories,
not like in a time ago.
I weep; your life force has departed that place
were my essence simmered, of joyful sounds,
silhouetted shades and where we feel in love,
in a time ago.
