In a Summer Wood
I sat upon a grassy bank
Spring had passed
Beautiful , it was too
Now, I live in a Summer wood
An intense blue sky
High above
I felt like flying
Such green
Such love
In a Summer wood
Flowers bloomed
Colours, so intense
They filled your heart
With light and love
In every sense
Summers day
The sky filled with birds
I ran
In a summer wood
My life
Filled with play
I only knew
When summer passed
When the kiss of an autumn leaf
Upon my cheek
It would never last
I knew this to be true
