In a Spilled Pool of Memory
IN A SPILLED POOL OF MEMORY
The jasmine scented air
gently caressed the night.
Foam crested waves teased
the flowing tides.
Beneath the palm pierced skies
the essence of you enveloped me wholly,
leaving ecstatic wetness warming chilled skin:
Awaken by songs of gulls,
I lay here in a spilled pool of memory.
