In A Perfect World Within a perfect world, you see, no challenges would we foresee. No need to change, to form a quest to help make good, better and best. No goals, no productivity within a perfect world, you see. Impossible to strive for more when there is nothing to explore. Perfection comes from mending flaws; without them, there's no purpose 'cause within a perfect world, you see improving life could never be. A perfect world might not be fine; there must be good for best to shine. There is no point to even be within a perfect world, you see. Sandra M. Haight ~1st Place~ Contest: Applicable - Not Applicable Sponsor: Richard Lamoureux Judged: 06/02/2019 The contest theme was "In A Perfect World," and rather than write about the positive blessings of a 'perfect world', I decided to express the negatives - that perfection leaves no reason or room for growth and accomplishment. But the contest sponsor had something else in mind...my poem was not 'perfect', not 'applicable' enough...and so I earned an NA :( :(

Living in a perfect world would become very boring. I'm glad we have imperfections and uniqueness in our everyday lives here on Earth!... I really enjoyed this wonderful poem, Sandra. Very thought provoking and interesting. Very well written! Good luck in Catie's contest!
