Important History

if time could be traveled I'd take America's children on an historic adventure to undo public school brain washing a time before t.v. and internet when kids played kick the can and used their imaginations and parents weren't ridiculously protective going back farther still they'd learn about our nation all that America truly stands for at last they'd learn true values witness the Boston Tea Party signing of the Declaration of Independence hear our Constitution being read the Emancipation Proclamation too so they'd learn to have respect for God, humanity and good old fashion American values all that once made America great they'd proudly say the Pledge of Allegiance their little hearts would fill with joy at "One nation under God" indeed, if time could be traveled I'd undo the public schools' brain washing!

I love this Christy...if we become overprotective of our children then will never learn how to live, respond to failure, or respect their country and fellow man...a fav

I'm with you on this Christy. I remember when it was am honor to be chosen to say the Pledge of Allegiance each morning in school. Everyone stood, hats were off and hands were over our heart. It is such a disservice that is being done with our children in schools (for the most part) Playing outside, kick the can, stick ball, hide and seek... loved this poem. I hope you are feeling better.

Thank you, Chris. I am feeling a little better today. I remember school being like that too, and we all turned good.

Very well said! Regardless of anyone's beliefs, I find it dis heartening to see people try and rewrite history, to erase what doesn't please them. Give your daughter a big hug for being a little wiser than than the custodians of the school!
