Imagination's Queen
I'm floating above the clouds,
tucked snugly into a dream.
And the stars come out at night,
as silent as rising cream.
Unshackling reality;
solitude saturates me.
And soaring quietude's bliss,
my fledgling spirit flies free.
The calm of tranquility
displaces anxiety.
And my skeptical soul basks
in its new-found piety.
Obscured by a veil of hope,
the truth’s nowhere to be seen.
For fantasy's in control,
and imagination's queen.
