I'M Tellin' Ya
I don't have to be mute under the pedagog's coat
Or allow accolades, praise, to follow him to the grave.
It's my time now - I'M TELLIN' YA -
"You can see where those boys get their brains from".
Oh, how wrong you family groupies were, how wrong.
From me! You dim, dumb, dopes. Their mum! - I'M TELLIN' YA -
No longer do I metaphorically cower beneath his so-called
Godliness - and he wasn't even that clever...
So, now I've come clean, come out, opened up that I do
Have a brain - and I am clever...
At last my day, month, year has come and - I'M TELLIN' YA -
No-one, nowhere will ever make me walk behind them.
I am out there at the front now, screaming and shouting
That I am free at last and - I'M TELLIN' YA - I shall enjoy
Whatever time I have left on this spinning orb and will fill
Every day with learning, improving, and mostly, being happy.
NOW I'VE TOLD YA!
