I'M Still Just a Baby
Blackened from the hole you burned on my sleeve,
too many cigarettes you smoked, so hard to believe.
Remorse and rejection held inside my morbid ashes,
life keeps getting much harder the more time passes.
I’m still just a baby in the eyes my mind created,
everyone knows it too, so many times it’s been stated.
One day I’m up, dying as I fall into the pit of hell,
next day I’m down and everyone I know can tell.
Even though I seem strong I am as weak as a bird,
thoughts fading into unconsciousness, feeling unheard.
Continuing with disregard filling voids with the bottle,
onto the broken legged horse I ride on full throttle.
Amnesia follows when I struggle to recall my coma,
medication and herbal remedies with a terrible aroma.
My near death experience has got the best of me,
my breath can’t be breathed while living in misery.
I need something to fill up my stupor tea cup,
so I may attempt to find peace and drink it up.
