I'M Ready To Be An Angel

I'M READY TO BE AN ANGEL (For all of us who are kin now to angels) The mother held tight her little girl's hand; As she lay upon the bed; Her hand brushed against all the tubes, As she caressed her daughter's head; It was just a matter of time now they said, Until she would slip away; The mother had been dreading this moment, Not knowing what to her she would say; "It's ok mommy, you don't have to cry", "GOD told me I'll be fine"; "HE even sent someone to wait for me", "To guide me Home, when it's time!" "She's over there in the corner watching", "She's holding my halo for me!" "She looks like you; pretty too"; "She's even smiling at me!" "Her hand is on your shoulder now"; "I think it's time to go"; "So, don't cry mommy, I'll be fine"; "I'm ready to be an angel, you know!" E. Self 2014

I'm not surprised Elzie - it is such an emotional write I can think of nothing worse than losing a child - sadly a year ago my friend lost her 2 sons to drugs - I can't imagine having to cope with a loss like that:-( hugs jan xx
