I'M Ready

Come in and rest awhile my friend, I was hoping you would drop by. I have long been expecting you, isn't it weird how time can fly? Just yesterday, I found myself wondering when you would get here. And I'm so sorry to hear folks are maligning you out of fear. Amongst all my tribulations, you are unlike any other. For you don't pretend to love me, and yet, treat me like a brother. You have been accused of murder, which is both unfair and untrue. But people need someone to blame, forgetting all the good you do. I'll be with you in a moment, soon, I'll exhale my final breath. And I thank you for your patience, ok, I'm ready, let's go, Death. (Quatrain) 9/27/2015

Death is hardest to accept when it appears suddenly. I like the way you have of accepting something that happens to all of us, ready or not. If a person believes there are greater things waiting in the next realm it makes it so much easier. I love hearing about the NDE and what they have experienced. My own mother had a lovely tale to tell, and she lived another 30 yrs. A wonderful poem Emile!

Thank you Connie, near death experiences are, (in my opinion), the brain shutting down with a final burst of endorphins to ease our passing. But what do I know, I may have it all wrong, at least I hope so. Emile.

Death being man's ultimate experience on earth, you have a healthy attitude towards it. This write just radiates the energy of one being at peace within himself. Great write, Emile! 7.

Emile this is lovely for a gruesome theme. I love how you surprised us at the end! How you gave us clues along the way and then had us realize the conclusion. Very clever. Enjoyed reading!

Oh....Emile. This is stupendous. Oh dear...how did you come up with it. Death....I shun it for it has touched my family already, but for one who is weary, it is welcome relief. Great write, dear.
