I'M Nothing Less of a Shadow
I will redefine what normal means,
I will be everything, that you do not want,
I am forever stuck in my ways,
And it will never change,
Because I am my own person.
I am a free soul, yet trapped in this tiny cage,
Feeding out of the reapers hand,
Crying myself into oblivion,
Feeling the warmth of your kiss,
Knowing that it is only a dream,
From this sickening illness,
That plagues my once pure heart.
Your lips I never tasted,
But I always imagined that they were candy,
Bright lustrous red,
Smelling that aromatic,
Sweet cherry flavored chap stick,
That you always seemed to wear.
We have shared moments together,
Ones that stuck in my mind,
Remembrances of smiling,
And feeling the tears,
Yet I never told you how I felt,
And know that you'll never see me,
The way... I see you.
If only I could find a way,
To make you notice me for who I truly am,
Then maybe...just maybe,
You'll be willing to give me a shot.
I'll do whatever I have to,
To prove myself to you,
And all I ask in return,
Is your undying love,
That shall fix this broken heart.
