I'M Not Fooled

An old trick that’s tried and true You want me to visit you So you go and drop a line Saying that my work is fine Then when you have dropped the bait You sit calmly and you wait Hoping that I’ll come to see That little insult, just for me Well, my dear…here is the clue I’m not fooled by likes of you! Eileen Manassian Ghali I've actually had this done to me before. Someone leaves a sweet comment and so you go to repay the compliment and you find a scathing rebuke...intended...slyly just for you! It's sad. I guess we all do that at times...for rebuke or for love. Once thing is certain...I don't let anyone insult my intelligence. I'm a smart cookie!

Teacher...one of my favorite titles! Thanks, Justin. It was a tough lesson for me to learn that some people are so hate filled. I was shocked for the longest time, and though I have forgiven....it still stings me.

That must be a very sad person in need of love. When people are mean it is always best to reply with kindness. I too have experienced the two faces of certain people. Others might only see the sweetness but people are not always what they present.

I don't have your grace, Richard. I'm quick to want to retaliate. Fortunately, my husband acts as my filter, when I pass things by him, but sometimes...I get myself into trouble. I don't let people get away with nonsense...I'm known to speak my mind. Hope you are having fun

My dear friend you're so good that no one should allow himself to do that to you,that would be so unfair, & shameful!beside that , among Persian poets we have a noble woman who has said perfect poems of this style about private & social comportments.You remembered her name? I'm a nut cookie coated with caramel syrup,yet still a nut cookie : ).Hi sweetie...I'm sorry if someone tried to play with your emotions.Why would someone do that to you?.So sad this is Eileen.Why cant people be straightforward ,it solves all differences in Much better way.

I loved this one Eileen! If I ever am so lucky as to fool you, it will not be a rebuke, but a hug and a kiss or 2 or 3....!!!!
