I'M Not Cinderella
I’m not Cinderella
But I still have a dream
To reach for those stars
That I’ve never seen.
There’s no handsome prince
To save my day
But I still have a courage
That lights my way.
Magic doesn’t happen
In my ordinary sky
But I still believe
I have the ability to fly.
There’s no glass slipper
To change who I am
But I’m proud of me
And the life that I’ve swam.
There’s no majestic castle
To call my home
But no matter where I live
There’s a heartfelt poem.
I’m not Cinderella
But I can still dance
My prince is a poem
That gives my dreams a chance.
