I'M Looking For Christmas
I'm looking for Christmas
a Christmas of long, long ago.
with spruce, lights and tinsel
and sled runners sliding on snow.
I'm looking for Christmas,
a long ago Christmas
of popcorn and candy,
and surrounded by family
singing carols we all know.
I'm looking for Christmas,
a thrown away Christmas
replaced and discarded
by those who regarded
Christians as set below
those who speak Xmas
and those who pray Allah
and those who pray just for show.
Bring angels, and shepherds,
and wise men who search for a king.
Bring me music, bring me Jesus;
bring me believers worshiping,
bring me love, bring me Christmas.
I'm looking for Christmas.
