I'M Letting the Burden Go
No longer will I tread so gingerly across the glass
I'm forgiving myself for any mistakes in the past
I will not live my life for the sake of your peace of mind
I'm letting the burden go, I'm leaving it behind
I will love who I am and the mother I have come to be
I'm releasing this pattern, I don't like what I see
I can't carry blame for all of the pain that you feel
I am living my life and that's what is real
I must have been terrible, for you surely let me know
But I am forgiving myself, I'm letting the burden go
