I'M Just Asking For One Chance
Nerd, geek, loser, shy and sweet
The friendliest girl you'll ever meet
But don't have a lot of friends
It is real, not pretend
That sometimes I get lonely
Wishing that others would only
Accept me for who I am
Then maybe I finally can
Go out and have laughs and fun
Knowing somethings new begun
But because I do not try
Things that other people like
I am left out all the time
Look inside me and you'll find
A girl who will be so true
If I just had the chance to
I always put others first
Kindness fills me and will burst
Onto new friends if they could
Let me in then they would
Know who I am meant to be
These words are so truthfully
Spoken from my heart with care
And will never disappear
I treat others with respect
But all I get is neglect
When I try to fit right in
It will all begin again
Strangers always look at me
With eyes that will turn snarky
When we start to talk they learn
Things about me that will burn
Into their minds because I
Do not drink, do drugs, or lie
And have only been with one
Guy since dating has begun
Things in my past made me who
I think is someone rare and true
I just want one chance to prove
With my friendship you wont lose
I like who I am and will not change
Don't ask me to re-arrange
The person I am inside
Accepting me would be so nice
