I'm Coming

I look upon my life and sing a song of living hope and love. Within my heart there is a zing for heaven’s calling from above. The softest cushions on my chair, a spark of stars to light my coal. The lilt of lyrics in the air, and finest lamb's wool for my stole. Within the confines of my dreams, I view the most divine of things. Friends and family in long streams; they welcome me with cheerful strings. Today I am a joyous soul for across that bridge I will stroll.

This is such a heartwarming, beautifully written sonnet dear Linda. The flow and rhyme is wonderful. I love the title too - makes you think of a homecoming which is what it is when we eventually all return home. Hope and strong beliefs shine through your poetic lines radiantly as you embrace life now but also anticipate wonderful heavenly things ahead. The concluding couplet is so poignant. I love the image of crossing the bridge. A real joy reading this poem. Thank you for sharing. Hugs xx
