Igweee Reborn

A day like this, over 2 decades, My mom was in maternity shades, Undergoing intense pains of labour, She perservered it though sour, A baby boy was atlast born, Lamech, his name,Igweee a self-sworn, Thanks a lot mama, the tiny lad is now grown. Life has shaped me all along, Though harsh I have learnt to belong, Getting and lacking are all attributes, The outcome shouldn’t breed disputes, I have passed through real hell, But thank God all will be well, It’s a year added,Lord, lessen my plight. The year hasn’t been good at all, It started out bitter like gall, I lost a fundamental pillar, But God has been my healer, Atleast I can afford a smile, After a miserable thorny mile, Thanks Chineke ooh,let your grace flow. Its my birthday, yeah am growing, I aint perfect, but still baking, I may be that offending, But soon I will be glowing, Keep on moulding me, When astray, correct me, It’s a year added,a one full of maturity. Thanks pals for being by me, You’ve always done the best for me, I promise to keep the bond stronger, And the camaraderie lane longer, It’s a year added on me, But also a perfect continuous love from me, Merci! Merci! merci!,am grown, yeah, wiser PoetIgweee
