If Wishes Come True

It is not uncommon to harbour wishes And striving for accomplishing them Life is but a never ceasing endeavour Aimed at gratifying, its constant needs. Human beings entertain diverse wishes Some are intuitive and many conscious A few are noble and bulk unrestrained That constitute the anthropoid character. If wishes are horses; beggars would ride How true is this adage, heard frequently To assuage feelings of beleaguered hearts A practice employed by all and sundry. Thank God all our wishes do not fructify Leaving scope for destiny to carry out The fine tunings of the life’s orchestra Operate to fulfil wishes of Lord Almighty.
