                       My Mum & Dad's 67th Wedding Anniversary

If this was the last ray of sun, or gossamer breeze. The final child’s laughter, or rustle of the trees, No more floating bubbles, or deeds to right a wrong, If every wren stopped singing its own sweet song. If they ceased to shine, every brightly coloured balloon, No more excitement for a surprise coming soon, If it’s the last daisy you bring, or the last Valantine’s rose. The last time you say I love you, or last poem you compose. The wonder of a wild animal running free, ceased to be, No power in the waves crashing in the sea, No more bright sunsets to turn the sky black. When our time has come, we won’t look back. Together we will stand in line at the pearly gate. And there for the last time together we will wait.
