If the Moon Could Talk
If the Moon Could Talk
If the moon could talk, how
With its kind and gentle face,
Would it describe the mayhem
That shadows its beloved “man.”
How long, oh, patient moon
Will you silently watch as earth rolls
From fingernail to pearl to orange,
Unchanged people awed by your majesty,
My child, I will wait until you awake.
