If Only I Could
If only I could fly
Up and above the sky
I would spread my wings and soar high
And let out a soft sigh.
If only I could have wings
Like birds flying as they sing
I would fly as far as I can go
And you will hear me singing to and fro.
If only I could sing
As clear as the bells’ ring
I would make a poem not too long
And sing it to you like a love song.
If only I could be a real poet
Or someone who can put words with a beat
I would write you in the ballad of my dreams
And make it like a lover’s hymn.
