If Not With You With me
I sit in silent wonder and I shed my silent tears.
And think of life without you I lived for all those years.
Knowing somewhere you were there filled with doubt about you.
Fearing I'd live all my days in a life that's spent without you.
Finally in my own despair what's meant to be will be.
I'd spend my life alone, if not with you with me.
Living on a shred of hope my faith turned into fear.
Somewhere in my anguish, you bid me to come here.
Saving me from loneliness and saving me from grief.
Finally in your presence it seemed I found relief.
Changing rearranging that's taking place inside of me.
You looked into and saw right through my insecurity.
Thoughts that I cannot express both in my heart and head.
Begin to come alive in me as I rise up from the dead.
Now you sit in silence and you shed your silent tears.
And think of life without me you lived for all those years.
Knowing now that I am here but filled with doubt about me.
As you wonder if not better, in a life that's spent without me.
I dare not face tomorrow if you should turn away.
My hope is growing stronger but not only day by day.
But stronger every hour, every second, every minute.
Please don't take away from me, my life that has you in it.
Changing is not easy and what will be will be.
And I'll spend my life alone, if not with you with me.
