If I Were To
If I were to pray to God every hour
Would he fill my spirit with much power?
And then take away all of my greed
Should fill me only with what I need.
I want to have energy and endurance
God will give me His blessed assurance
And in times of tiredness and distress
Gives me His love in place of loneliness.
God all of these things to me has granted
And more flowers in my yard have planted
Swept and brushed off walkway with a broom
After hearing thunder when it went boom.
Everything has been a clean sweep.
