If I Could Make You Happy

If I could make you happy, How wondrous that would be, My step might be more snappy, My spirit be more free. My Praises last forever, My life could be a song, My joy – each new endeavor, I’d feel like I belong. But happiness is chosen, Not just a gift that stays, An antidote to poison A choice that can amaze. And so I must choose happy, Enjoy life as I can, Reject a life that’s crappy Face fortune like a man! My heart, I swear, is hoping That you’ll follow my lead And when you find me moping, Remind me of this creed.
