If I Could Change the World
If I Could Change the World
If I could,
I’d wave a magic wand and change the world,
Imprison Satan for a thousand years.
I’d mend the evil hurts maligning man.
Give smiles and work together hand in hand.
All would serve one another…no demands.
And live upon the earth without life’s fears.
Then, walk with God and listen to His years.
But, alas,
There is no magic wand for me to wave.
And Satan has grown strong for many days.
His evil schemes connive and sneak inside.
Until God’s righteous ways aren’t recognized.
For now, I’ll seek God’s goodness every day.
And try to help all fellows on life’s way.
Then, pray at night, “God, help me do Thy will.”
Until Eternity,
I’ll listen, to the holy words I read.
Use caution with my words; and do good deeds.
When asked, I’ll help another if I can.
And share a goodly smile throughout the lands.
No matter if the help is big or small.
I’ll pray to God and give each task my all.
And end the day with peace for serving God.
