If I Cannot

I can see the light through the window, It's brightness reflecting off the mugs nearby, I am standing still in this light, I close my eyes and begin to wonder, Where would I be without this family? Where would I go without this roof? Putting my own world into perspective, I bring myself back to earth, So that I may be the best person I can be, And hopefully just might make your day a little better. I want happiness for others if I cannot have it, I want peace for beings if I cannot have it, I want beauty for them if I cannot have it. So that I may be happy, For this moment, In unison, With them.
