If I Died Now
My mind I caught
tangled in resentments
dissatisfied in anguish
and regrets
subtracting
what I had given
from received
mulled on revenge
for the loss
two straight I's
bodyguards of frown
livid lips
stretching face
down
darkness in eyes
fists clenched tight
that I deserved more
the verdict out.
Looking at the mirror
gasped in fright
if I was to die now
I'm always right
not even the devil
would want me
liar!
