I'D Pray (One Little Candle)
What do I know of you
that you adhere to just come through,
Oh, sunrise of my mourning, then that to
diminishes as inception starts anew!
How regular you seem,
man's now abundance is to dream,
mine faded by life's guest, a sullen view
are disappointments numbered to construe!
The dawn, uncluttered like my mind's renew,
God's promise, always striving in my mew,
why argue with fate's timing, I am through
with restless pastimes whining, faulting's spew!
If these my conquests, scene as matters due
were so outspoken, yet continuing new,
I'd pray to save the morning, soul's rest clue,
I'd pray to not forlorn my plans review ~
I'd pray to lose conforming justice true,
I'd pray to space my virtue, freeing you!
This light, not riles deforming, nature's stew
together my forewarning, wanting's lieu ~
is spreading of God's justice ~ fear's adieu!
