Ice Breaker

Her hands appeared empty at my first glance I walked in her direction for a look A little bit shy but I took a chance I then noticed she was holding a book When she looked in my eyes my insides shook I gathered my courage to say hello Would she talk to me I really hoped so I was so thankful she treated me nice Her mannerisms were easy and slow Seeing that book helped me to break the ice Inspired to try this form by Russell Silvey. Thanks for the explanation Russell

Awesome inspiration & topic! Break that ice because, sometimes, the sun just isn't strong enough to melt it on its own. ;)

Really???? A book did the trick? Well, who would have guessed. I thought it was a cup of coffee???? ;) So...you looked into her eyes and your insides shook? Are you sure? Or was it the other way around? ;) Teasing ya! Great write, Richard. I must try some new forms....

I knew it was fictitious, Richard...that was my attempt at banter...I answered your post on When You Say Nothing at All....Perhaps that will explain....Of course you wouldn't notice the book if your sweetie was wearing a bikini....To be able to still pull that off is amazing....Sure you are proud if her!!!!!

This is not a real life encounter but fit the feel of the piece. I was not nervous when I met my sweetie, perhaps that is what things flowed so effortlessly between us. Mind you she was reading a book but I didn't notice as she looked amazing in her bikini. Still does.

Ice breaker ! Nice plot. How are you Richard? I hardly get time to concentrate on a poem. To night I felt that I should read some poems of my dearest Friends. I will soon write .
