I Write Upon My Mind
"The purpose of our lives is to be happy.” — Dalai Lama
~~~~~
I write upon my mind thoughtlessness, peace and calm.
Thoughts of bad happenings do make me sad.
I feel life is not good and cry.
Absence of all desires
is what I consciously contrive
for even a small desire upsets mind.
I get irritated and my peace of mind ends.
~~~~~
I tell son be flexible, life is full of bends.
In it always ups and downs you will find.
For calm blissful mind you must strive.
To be good you aspire.
To shed anger, laziness try.
Anger can make you do deeds that are bad.
Laziness will rob you of your health peace and calm.
~~~~~
I tell myself you have to always maintain calm.
Don't be sad you have so much to be glad.
To forgive, forget you must try.
For happiness aspire.
Laugh you must till you are alive.
Understand others, be empathic, kind.
Gather memorable memories till life ends.
