I Write From My Heart

It may float around in my head for a few days or so Before I let the ink flow on what I want to say When it is ready I will know It can be demanding, always on the go Not sure why, it just happens that way Like a seed, needs some time to grow Very seldom do I write from my head It is better when I write from my heart About some of my yesterday's that were not so good I wish that I could get them out of my head So I could give this old life a fresh start You never know, have to knock on wood Very seldom do I have "writer's block" I have to much remembering to forget Have many nice things that I want to write about In order to vent, I write around the clock And it has not let up yet Sometimes it makes you want to scream and shout Like life, you are going to have the good with the bad I have had them both along the way Something like being, "street smart" I like to be happy, not all that mad Good Lord Willin, it will happen someday That is why I write from my heart
