I Wonder, by Davieo, David Rothchild I wonder How many unchecked lies A mind Can handle Before it just chokes Ignores, becomes overwhelmed It just forgets a need To get the truth about anything Anything at all... I wonder How many stories are told Some lame, most old, bull bold Which choking grasping minds hold Tired of searching they fold I wonder How expensive is the truth Its shelf life, placed in a booth Surrenders to an onslaught of lies Sunrises and lives gone, a mother's cries I wonder Did it matter in any crisis That lies still held crazy glue fast Truth's dark quiet hiding places Held it useless until Truth's useful moments past Wonders Stifled in the cradle Lost in the tower of babel Dreams strangled by certain logic Lost worlds of imagination and liquid magic Wonders That want to hurriedly come to life Boldly held hostage by made up strife Desires bright rainbow skies to color in Fire up candy sunshine with a toothy grin I wonder Why logic can hold one in such a spell Hostaging the kaleidoscopic dreams of others Controlling daytime hours spent in a well Of time, its a crabshell eternity, which smothers
