I Woke Up Today So Early
I woke up today so early
I can feel you’re far away
And the fog has fallen, darling,
River is like Milky Way.
And the winds are silent, really,
Grass has wetted with the dew.
Who was weeping willy-nilly
With sweet tears? Oh, if I knew!
Jolly sun is here, it dances
It’s in love with all the Earth,
And I ask the wood – it answers –
Without you I need no mirth.
