I Wish It Would Rain
I carry the weight
of an ocean,
behind a hue fashioned
for the burden,
but no water falls.
Cracked Iris temper,
sketchy, dwindling trigger;
Salting my wounds.
Parched cacophony whispers.
No sounds,
only a bitter, restless miracle.
I wish it would rain.
