I Wish I Can Be

I wrote this on July 10, 2015 at my Grandpa's House before I went on a camping trip in Wa-Ri-Ki, Washington with my church friends. I hope you enjoy my simple poem and feel free to leave a comment. Sorry that I didn't post this any sooner... but here it is: I wish I can be A fisherman, far off at sea I wish I can be A big blissful whale, swimming with glee I wish I can be Dedicated to my prayer time I wish I can be Not me, jaded by committing a selfish crime If I can just unwind for a time... Then, there would be no need to fret I know I can be as sour as a lime... Well, I won't waste my time with mere regret I wish I can be A fisherman, far off at sea I wish I can be A big blissful whale, swimming with glee I wish I can be Dedicated to my prayer time I wish I can be Not me, jaded by committing a selfish crime I wish I can be An innocent boy all over again I wish I can be As strong as a thousand men I wish I can be A fisherman, far off at sea I wish I can be A big blissful whale, swimming with glee I wish I can be Dedicated to my prayer time I wish I can be Not me, jaded by committing a selfish crime I wish I can have devotion towards the Lord of Accord I am aware that I have done wrongs, but I seek His forgiveness The cost of my many sins is far from what I can afford But, I will not give up this time...I will face the consequences and move forward with my head above the surface I wish I can be An ocean that reflects the moon in the dead of night I wish I can be A blessed bodacious bird, taking his first fruitful flight (Have a wonderful weekend!)
