I Wish
To love, honor, cherish...
we both said that " I do"
but your love is like the ocean tide...
it changes all the time.
I try so hard to please you,
but it's never good enough.
You place yourself above me...now I must look up.
Love, honor, cherish...
they're more than words to me.
Maybe if I keep giving...
we can work this whole thing out.
You cut me off when I try to speak.
Accuse me then of being weak.
I don't know what you want from me...
I've tried my very best.
I wish you cared to understand...
this isn't what was ment.
Love, honor, cherish...
they're more than words to me.
Maybe if I keep giving...
we can work this whole thing out.
When I try and share with you...
It's like talking to a wall.
I know that I'm not perfect and yes I make mistakes.
Instead of being understanding...you throw it in my face.
Love, honor, cherish...
they're more than words to me.
Maybe if I keep giving...
we can work this whole thing out.
At times when you don't get your way...
you quickly shut me out...
and act like I'm invisible...then you'll start to pout.
I wish I knew the answer...and where to go from here.
Maybe I'll just sit right down...and have myself a beer.
Love, honor, cherish...
they're more then words to me.
Maybe if I keep giving...
we can work this whole thing out.
